Blue light kills the acne-causing bacteria known as Propionibacterium acnes, or P acnes, which is known to cause inflammation. Research has shown P acnes is sensitive to blue light. The use of blue light therapy can eliminate the bacteria found in the oil glands in the skin. Blue light therapy combined with the use of red light therapy in the Qure Q-RejuvaLight Pro device causes the oil glands to shrink in size. Resulting is less oil present in the skin and reduced bacteria, achieving significant improvement of acne in the treated areas.
Blue light therapy assists in eliminating the bacteria from the skin and decreases the inflammation associated with red pimples (papules) seen in most acne cases. After multiple treatments with Blue light therapy, the blemishes improve and skin regains a clearer, smoother appearance.
Blue light therapy treatment is recommended to treat not only mild, but moderate and even severe, cystic or scarring acne. The Qure Q-RejuvaLight Pro device features medical LED's to deliver concentrated blue light pulses directly to the skin cells that destroy bacteria within follicles and pores below the skin’s surface, treating mild to moderate acne and helping to achieve bright, clear skin in the comfort of your own home.
Research has shown that continued usage results in a significant improvement for all types of inflammatory acne.
